The Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF) gathered its members to hold RUEF Summer General Meeting on June 18, 2009 at Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka in Nizhny Novgorod.
RUEF members reviewed issues of the RUEF internal activities. Newcomers to the Union became “Ural-Expo” JSC – an exhibition organizer in Orenburg, “ITE Siberian Fair” Ltd – an exhibition organizer in Novosibirsk. RUEF approved another four exhibition events as those confirming the high level of professional exhibition standards. RUEF General Meeting in Nizhny Novgorod became a one day platform of discussion devoted to strengthening interaction of industry associations, exhibition organizations and authorities for the promotion of products and services of Russian enterprises through trade fairs and exhibitions, the topic of vital importance in difficult times of crisis. The keen discussion of the topic was held at Joint Meeting of RUEF members, members of the Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, representatives of the authorities, industry associations and CCIs. Striving to increase participation efficiency exhibition organizers shared best practices and knowledge on what they have already done for the exhibitors by improving their service packages. The participants emphasized the vital role of exhibitions as a marketing instrument number one, and shaped ways and approaches to make interaction much more active.
